Clearly, this is the most amazing sonar technology ever. You have never fished like this before. Panoptix LiveScope is live, real-time scanning sonar. You can actually see easy-to-interpret live scanning sonar images of fish swimming near clearly defined structure. You can even see your lure as you retrieve it. And your boat doesn’t need to be moving. These images are so clear and precise that with a little practice, you might be able to distinguish between species of fish!

Two Modes in One Transducer

You get both LiveScope™ Down and LiveScope™ Forward modes in one transducer. It’s easy to adjust the transducer mode to fit your fishing techniques; use LiveScope Forward to see remarkably clear images of structure and swimming fish around your boat, and use LiveScope Down to see directly below your boat. The view automatically updates on your compatible Garmin chartplotter. AHRS stabilization keeps your sonar view steady, even in rough conditions.

Panoptix LiveScope Down

LiveScope Down mode allows you to see live, easy-to-interpret scanning sonar images of structure and swimming fish in incredible detail below your boat —up to 200’ — even while your boat is stationary.

Panoptix LiveScope Forward

LiveScope Forward mode is an excellent tool for scouting and fishing out ahead of your cast. You’re looking at live, highly detailed and easy-to-interpret scanning sonar images of structure and fish swimming all around your boat — up to 200’ — even while your boat is stationary.

The Panoptix LiveScope scanning sonar system includes a compact GLS 10 sonar black box with LVS32 transducer and simple plug-and-play Garmin Marine Network connector, making it easy to install and seamlessly integrate with your compatible Garmin chartplotter. Use the transducer as a supplemental traditional and ClearVü sonar source to see a historical representation of structure and fish below your boat.

Before I bought this unit I was skeptical about the image quality because all the online reviews were being posted by industry professionals, however I bought the unit and can say I’ve been impressed to say the least. After several trips to my local inland lake, I mostly fish for walleye but tested this unit on some deep underwater structure that I knew usually holds fish. All I can say is that it’s gonna be “lights out” for crappies in the spring for anyone using this unit ! The underwater structure was clearly defined and the fish swimming around were plain to see. I was able to watch my lure dropping and see fish react to it and rise up and take the bait. I’ve used it minimally on walleye that were on the bottom with good success, but haven’t had a chance to use it on suspended walleye yet. Installation was simple and the default settings are very good for most of the fishing, however depending on bright sunny versus cloudy days and water clarity these units are easy to fine tune to get the clearest pictures. LiveScope is a big investment by the time you buy it plus a compatible unit to connect it to but I have no regrets about buying this. I’m thinking about buying another unit for ice fishing or making a portable unit for dock fishing etc. Definitely recommend to fellow anglers.

This device FAR exceeded my expectations. No more interpreting the sonar images. No more wondering if you’re seeing fish, or a weed line, or a thermocline, or just interference. The imagery and detail that it produces were amazing. Target separation from structure was unlike anything I could have imagined. I now have 3 transducers connected to my 7612xvs, and this not only picks up small targets that don’t show up on the other two, but it does so in amazing detail. It almost seems unfair… mounted to the trolling motor (highly recommended) you can pan your motor from the helm an scan under and around bridge structures, pilings, range markers etc. In forward mode, it’s like you’re shining a flashlight under the water to pick up images. Fish are clearly visible. I can’t wait to try this out on my favourite lake (in down mode) and jig up a bunch. Yes, this is expensive. But believe me… you won’t have buyer’s remorse! My only criticism is that the mounting instructions are incorrect in regards to the orientation of the transducer, however a quick call to Lakehead Communications and the situation was remedied. Great Customer Service.
